Havas Holding Engages in Partnership Talks with French Companies

As part of the official visit of the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, to France, Havas Holding held a series of negotiations with major French companies, laying the foundation for strategic cooperation and new joint projects.

From March 11 to 13, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev paid a state visit to the French Republic. During the visit, Uzbekistan and France signed a Joint Declaration on the establishment of a strategic partnership, along with a number of agreements in the financial and economic, investment, educational, cultural, and humanitarian spheres.

A key outcome of the visit was the adoption of a Cooperation Program in the fields of investment and innovation, which includes joint projects between Uzbek and French companies worth a total of €6.5 billion.

As part of the visit, a business roundtable was held in Paris with the participation of senior officials from relevant ministries and agencies, along with executives from nearly 100 companies from both countries. During the session, President Mirziyoyev expressed his gratitude to the business community for supporting the reform agenda and called for stronger international cooperation and the implementation of new projects.

The events in Paris opened new opportunities for Havas Holding. The company’s representatives held productive meetings with Groupe Sodiaal SA, Accor Group, Fauchon Hospitality, Maison Kayser, and other French companies. Discussions focused on joint projects in the fields of food production, logistics, hospitality, and more.

Notably, Havas Holding and Candia reached a preliminary agreement on a joint dairy production venture valued at €30 million. Candia is a brand under Groupe Sodiaal SA, one of France’s leading dairy cooperatives.

The company also explored a potential partnership with Maison Kayser to launch production of baked goods, confectionery, and ready-to-eat products in Uzbekistan. Founded by Eric Kayser in 1996, Maison Kayser is a global bakery network known for its artisanal bread and pastry innovations.

During the visit, Havas Holding met with Philippe Bony, Vice President of Accor Group, to discuss hotel development projects. Both parties expressed interest in launching a premium Pullman hotel and several mid-scale Novotel properties. Accor is one of the world’s largest hospitality groups, managing over 5,000 hotels and 10,000 restaurants, cafés, and bars across 110 countries.

In addition, Havas Holding held talks with Fauchon Hospitality, a luxury gastronomy brand established in 1886. The two sides discussed plans to open premium Fauchon boutique hotels in Uzbekistan. Fauchon operates hotels, restaurants, cafés, and retail outlets in over 50 countries.

Given the strategic importance of logistics for Havas Holding, the group also scheduled meetings with leading French logistics companies FM Logistics and CMA CGM Group.

FM Logistics provides warehousing, co-packing, transportation, and supply chain management services in 12 countries. CMA CGM Group is a major French shipping company specializing in global container transport.

The visit to France marked a significant step forward for Havas Holding. The group will continue to expand its international partnerships to strengthen Uzbekistan’s trade and economic ties with France.
